As the name implies, the Knoper (knotter) is a bridge that knots the two banks of the canal together in the shape of a flat knot. The railings of the bridge are connected and literally form a knot. When walking or cycling on the bridge you pass through a knot of woven railings. For a complete view the Knoper is best watched from a distance. The railings that also form an arch are made of colored steel and the deck will be coated in FSC Robina, a hard wood which is grown in Europe.
